Agent Interview Questions
Hiring a real estate agent is a big commitment as you’re deciding on the person who will help you through all the highs and lows of buying & selling. We’ve created three questions you should ask any agent before you hire them to help you determine if they are the right fit for you! 1. How many transactions have you done in the last year? In 2024, 70%+ of agents only did 1 transaction and in the years before the average was 6 transactions. The more transactions an agent does the more they experienced with writing offers, dealing with hurdles, and in tune with the real estate market.
2. Tell me about how you know this area and the specific success you’ve had in this town/city.
3. The next question splits into two- one for buyers & one for sellers.
A. Buyers: How do you make offers stand out so sellers are more likely to choose them?
B. Sellers: Tell me about your marketing strategy and what makes you different from every other agent.
